January 2015 Update

Happy new year!

To start, thanks to everyone who came to see the Grandmothers Of Invention on our recent tour of Europe! Bringing this music to the world would not be possible without your support. I had the distinct pleasure of visiting some of my favorite venues in Holland and Germany, and making a lot of new friends in Norway (big thanks to everyone at the Zappa Union festival!), Slovenia, Austria and the Czech Republic.

2015 is shaping up to be a very interesting year. Over the next few months, my focus will be on developing new sounds and integrating the iPad Air 2 into my live and studio work. The level of sound manipulation technology for iOS has reached a point of quality which is, to me, suitable for performance. As my iOS rig comes together, I will post updates about what works for me.

My deadline for developing this rig coincides with the resumption of performances by The Grandmothers Of Invention, which will happen in April. Two shows at Jazz Alley have already been made public, so please visit the Concerts page for the latest tour dates.

There are more rumblings from both the Grandmothers and The Magic Band, but nothing I can speak about publicly at this time. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to several recording sessions and will continue my teaching practice. As always, if you would like a lesson please contact me via the link on the Lessons page.

Thanks and see you soon!
